DPDCTV is one of the many channels that has been founded online, in order for its creators to premiere their own web series.
The channel was created on January 6th 2010 and aired an eight episode series (as well as a bonus episode) titled Ktown Cowboys a comedy, drama, which tells the story of nightlife, bromance and coming into adulthood in Los Angeles' Koreatown. It is directed by Daniel Park and written by Danny Cho and is one of the few American shows that gives meaningful insight into American Korean culture.
Due to the success of the series, the creative minds behind DPDCTV ran a Kickstarter campaign back in 2011, in order to fund a film version of the same name. The campaign was successfully funded and the film had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX on March 15, 2015.
Since airing the web series Ktown Cowboys, DPDCTV has had little new programming, mostly focusing on promoting the upcoming film, releasing promotion videos and the official trailer. The channel has had over two million views and has over nine thousand subscribers.
The channel also hosts several social media accounts, which is updated with interviews of the cast and crew as well with photographs.
