Joan is a young woman who has striven her entire life to become a world famous actress of the stage and screen. The only thing holding her back is her addiction to alcohol. Her deep interest in drinking has earned her a bad reputation in some circles and her work is beginning to suffer from it. She and her husband, Roman, have long had a history of endless fights and nonstop bickering. He is a young film director and is quickly making his way up the ranks. Joan is on the verge of securing her biggest role to date, but she has to give up a big part of her life for it.
