Based on the epic Swedish novels about Arn, a member of the Knights Templar who finds himself fighting in the Crusades and the Swedish Danish conflict, this is an epic tale of romance and action. Arn begins the movie fighting the Crusades against Saladin and his forces, respected by Saladin for his bravery Arn is returned to Sweden when the rest of the Knights Templar are slaughtered in the Battle of Hattin. Sweden does not hold a peaceful time for Arn when the king dies and a fierce war breaks out over control of his former lands.
