Watch Buried on Sunday

This is a dramatic comedy about a town that is angry and rebels against its own country. A small fishing village on the eastern coast of Canada is angry over a government decision that may take away its fishing rights. When they get no satisfaction from their representatives, they decide to declare themselves a separate republic. The mayor, Augustus Knickel, knows they must be able to back up their claim, so he buys an ancient Russian submarine from its cook.

The submarine has been abandoned by the Russians. The cook needs a job, and the town needs an arsenal. Perhaps now the government will reconsider their issue.
