Growing up in the same area, three friends, Ivan, Julia and Kike have always been close until Ivan and Julia start seeing each other. Kike, having feelings for Julia, strays away from their friendship. Ivan had been drafted and sent to Vietnam. It had been announced that Ivan had gone missing. After years of being missing, Ivan comes home and marries Julia. Ivan becomes ill and is diagnosed with cancer. He decides to take a boat journey, and ends up on the Cayo island. While staying on Cayo island, Ivan is able to find tranquility and the feeling of healing.
