This Indian romantic drama and remake of Ninaikkaadha Naalillai (another Indian film) was directed by Swapan Saha. The plot of the film follows the lives of Debdutta, or Deb for short, and Arun, childhood friends who maintain a strong bond well into their adult lives. However, despite their strong friendship their lives take markedly different directions. Arun joins the police force while Deb becomes a humble refrigerator company man. Yet nothing seems to be able to seperate the two, that is until Deb falls in love with the beautiful and charming Kabita. Before the marriage between Deb and Kabita, Arun is fatally wounded at his work in a failed attempt to disarm a car bomb, a pivotal moment which will change the lives of all three forever.
