Watch December Bride

This Irish drama focuses on Sarah Gomartin, who chooses to live an unconventional lifestyle in Northern Ireland. She arrives with her mother to serves as housekeeper for a widower and his two sons in the early 20th century. When the head of the household dies, and her mother leaves due to disagreements with Sarah, she takes both of the sons as lovers. But when she becomes pregnant, Sarah refuses to disclose the identity of the father. Over the years, Sarah refuses to marry, garnering plenty of judgment from members of the local community, ultimately having to choose between the brothers.
