This Danish fantasy movie sees the spoiled and unhappy Princess of Illyria told she must choose a suitor to marry for the sake of her kingdom. A series of princes and noblemen arrive in a bid to woo the Princess to no avail. A Danish Prince arrivesan d offers his hand in marriage, which is turned down quickly and without much thought from the Princess. In anger the Danish Prince disguises himself as a poor worker and kidnaps the Princess and tries to make her live a humble life and see the error of her ways.
