Egon Schiele Exzess und Bestrafung is a drama romance film that was released in 1980. An Austrian painter lives a conflicted life with his girlfriend, and ends up becoming friends with a teenaged girl. The teenaged girl accuses him of behaving improperly towards her, and the painter is imprisoned for the crime. The painter is able to eventually clear his name, and following his release is forced to fight in the military. This makes the painter's life even worse, and it is not certain if he will make it through the First World War alive.
