Set in the beautiful countryside of Argentina, this film tells the story of a man named Juan who is celebrating his fiftieth birthday. A momentous occasion in his life, Juan invites as many family and friends as he knows for a grand, backyard party. He is about to receive the surprise of his life after meeting a young woman named Manuela. Manuela appears at his party and presents Juan with a 3-year-old boy. She tells Juan that this is his grandson. Shocked and elated at the same time, Juan asks of his long lost son. Manuela informs him that he is not well.
