Gateway is a sci-fi action film that revolves around the concept of time travel. The movie stars Danni Smith in the lead role of Sheena, a scientist who discovers the key to time travel. The other two primary characters include Tim Lueke as Matt and Martin Monahan as Jeff. Matt is a CIA agent tasked with protecting Sheena, while Jeff is a scientist who works with Sheena on her time travel project.

The movie kicks off with Sheena working on a secret project that involves time travel. Sheena has created a machine that can enable humans to travel through time. However, the machine requires a special crystal to function properly, and Sheena is struggling to find it. Meanwhile, the CIA becomes aware of Sheena's project and is interested in it.

The CIA dispatches Matt to track Sheena and protect her project from falling into the wrong hands. Matt gets in touch with Sheena and convinces her to work with him to prevent the project from getting stolen. Sheena and Matt work together to find the missing crystal and complete the time machine. However, things take a dramatic turn when a group of terrorists attack them and steal the machine.

The lead terrorist, played by Martin Monahan, has his own plans with the time machine. He wants to travel back in time and change the course of history. Matt and Sheena must stop him before it's too late. The rest of the movie revolves around Sheena and Matt's attempt to retrieve the stolen time machine and prevent the terrorist from changing history.

The movie has an interesting concept and relies on fast-paced action scenes and chase sequences to keep the audience hooked. The special effects and production values are decent, and the director has managed to create a believable sci-fi world. The lead actors have given good performances, with Danni Smith standing out as the determined scientist who is ready to risk everything for her project.

One of the strengths of the movie is its screenplay. The time travel concept can be complicated, but the writers have managed to simplify it enough for the audience to follow. The dialogues are well-written, and the characters are well-developed. The relationship between Sheena and Matt, in particular, is interesting to watch as they both have different priorities but work together to reach a common goal.

The movie's biggest weakness is that it doesn't offer anything new in terms of plot. The time travel concept has been explored in numerous movies and TV shows, and Gateway doesn't bring anything new to the table. The terrorist plot also feels too generic and predictable. Some of the action sequences also feel too drawn out and repetitive, which might test the patience of some viewers.

Overall, Gateway is a decent sci-fi action film that will appeal to fans of time travel stories. The movie has a solid screenplay and good performances, but it doesn't offer anything new in terms of plot. The action scenes are well-staged, but some of them feel too long and repetitive. If you're in the mood for some mindless entertainment and can overlook the predictable plot, Gateway might be worth a watch.
