This movie is a crime drama that has all the makings of a mobster movie. It depicts the life of the infamous crime leader of the Gambino family, John Gotti. The movie details events that led up to Gotti becoming the head of the family. This film also showcases the fall of John Gotti, as the FBI finally closes in on him and enlists the help of one of his closest friends to bring him down. The FBI has an itching to convict Gotti because of all the other crimes he has gotten away with.

With the help of Danny "The Bull" Gravano, the FBI is able to take down John Gotti. Gravano's testimony helps put Gotti away for the remainder of his existence.
