Indira is a young woman living peacefully in her small village in India who is struggling to cope in the strict caste system. The people of the village suddenly begin to find their lives are changing as they become more wealthy, but remain trapped in their traditional roles within the community. A long standing rivalry with a neighboring village is highlighted by the growing wealth and importance of Indira's village.
