This is a documentary about the Joumblat family of Mount Lebanon. It traces their history from the 17th century to the present time. The first prominent lady the film picks up on is Nazira who was born in 1889. She assumed her position as Queen in 1923 after her husband was assassinated and her brother Ally resigned. She was the royal crowned queen for 25 years, all while raising her son Kamal. She felt that was her most important role as his mother and teacher, as one day he would take her place on the throne.
