Watch Le gendarme en balade

A group of bored retirees get up to their old tricks in this wacky comedy. The Troops on Vacation, as it is also known, is the fourth in a series of French language farces about a group of paramilitary policemen. They have been forced into early retirement and are not adjusting well. When they discover that one of their own appears to be suffering from amnesia in a mental institution they hope to unlock his memories by putting on their old uniforms and reliving past glories. They discover that frustrating their younger replacements is just a fun bonus.
