Watch Memories of Matsuko

This is a dramatic movie about finding a way to overcome hopelessness in life. When Matsuko dies, her nephew must clean out her belongings. As Sho, her nephew, goes through her things, he begins to get a look into her life. He finds out she took the blame for a student’s crime. Because of this stigma, her life descended into ruins. She could not teach and was forced to live on the streets for many years. This turned her into a very bitter person.

As Sho continues going through her possessions, he finds the sliver of hope that kept Matsuko alive.
