Watch Mother

Mother is a 1926 Russian silent film about the beginnings of the Russian revolution. Pavel Vlasov’s mother struggles with her son’s ideology in the early days of communism. At first, she is against her son and even reports him to the authorities. After her son goes to jail, her views on her son’s work as a union activist begin to change. Later, she finds herself fighting alongside him and finds both their lives are at risk.
