The 2003 Brazilian Drama film is directed by Elian Caffe. Antonio Bia, who has been secluded by the rest of the villagers for spreading lies to keep his job, gets a rare opportunity to redeem himself when his village comes under the threat of a new dam that is set to be built in the village. The community’s poor and illiterate inhabitants’ last hope, is to prove that the village is of historical value. Since Antonio is the only one who can write, he is charged with the responsibility of documenting their memories and stories.
