Watch Paljas

"Paljas" is an Afrikaans language film from South Africa and made in the year 1998. "Paljas" concerns itself with the lives of the McDonald clan in Toorwater. Despite much discontent within the McDonald family, a mime, named Manuel, does his best to restore some semblance of family unity after being let go from his traveling circus. However, things don't go quite so swimmingly for Manuel after his presence is known by the general populace of Toorwater. "Paljas" takes its title from the Afrikaans word that can either mean a jester or refer to the act of casting a mystical incantation.
