People's Encounter is a drama film that was released in 1991. The film follows Peoples War Group, which was an armed gorilla movement that protected rural citizens against the outreaches of the government. Many of the people they were protecting were both needy, and were far behind the times. The actions of the Peoples War Group forced the government to lessen its control over the region, but also prevented the development of the area.
