Rebirth is about the story of a young woman named Kiwako, who decides to steal a baby from a man whom she had an affair with. Kiwako has raised this baby as her own for four year until she gets caught and arrested. The child that Kiwako raised, Erina, is forced to return to her birth parents. When Erina grows up, she also has an affair with a married man and becomes pregnant. Erina must now face her past and travel to Shodoshima where she spent her time with Kiwako as a child. As soon as she arrives, she finds out the truth and must make a decision.
