This film follows the tale of a aristocratic man who has spent the better part of his life accumulating such a fortune that his family will never have to work another day in their lives. He is married to a woman who refuses to engage in sexual contact and this greatly frustrates the old man. However, his aspirations of fulfilling his sexual desires are not held back simply because his wife refuses, so he gets a mistress. The man's teenage son grows up to fall in love with the his father's mistress, but after joining the army, he must now contend with leaving his life behind.
