Beat Takeshi is a popular and successful celebrity in show business. One day on his way to work, Takeshi meets an aspiring actor named Kitano at a convenience store where he works. Takeshi is taken by the resemblance between them and offers Kitano a chance to play his double. Kitano accepts and starts to become obsessed with living Takeshi's life. Soon Takeshi finds himself in a life threatening situation and must escape before he loses everything.
