The Floating Landscape is a Chinese film from 2003. Maan is a grieving artist who has struggled to find inspiration. Prior to his passing, Maan's lover commented upon a scene from his childhood home of Qingdao. With nothing else keeping her static, Maan heads toward Qingdao in search of a passion-igniting scene worthy of capturing on canvas. While Maan's mind is on her art, her eyes soon fall for a curious postal worker named Lit. All dialogue spoken in The Floating Landscape is delivered in Cantonese.
