Watch The Heron and the Crane

This is a short animated Russian film (with subtitles) directed by Yuri Norstein. Based on a Russian folktale, it's about a crane living in the wetlands that decides he would like to marry since it can be lonely living alone. He decides to ask the local heron who turns out to be quite the challenge. The story unfolds with unexpected twists and turns.
