Charlie is released from prison but is ready to get into trouble again. He and his friend attempt to do a high risk "job" in Italy but things do not go according to plan and Charlie becomes the "boss." In order to steal millions of dollars in gold that will arrive from China he devises a plan but, there is one problem, he needs the money to finance it. In order for Charlie plans to work he will need the help of Mr. Bridger, who is in jail himself, leaving Charlie to break into the prison.

In order to pull off his plan Charlie uses several vehicles: a Mini Cooper, Jaguars, and a bus to confuse Italian police officials. Last but not least, this movie has the classic car chase scenes that many action movie lovers like to see.

The Italian Job is a 1969 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 35 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.2 and a MetaScore of 70.
