Watch The Last War

This 1961 Japanese film makes an effort to depict what it would be like if the world fell in a nuclear WW III. The story follows the captain and crew of a Japanese shipping freighter leaving the U.S.as they strive against all odds to get back home to Tokyo as the world falls into all out war. It also details the pain and longing of the crews families back home as world peace fails and destruction of mankind ensues.
