This movie is a comedy of social errors. Egon Olsen is a genius. When he makes a plan, its complexity boggles the mind of the average criminal. But, Olsen is not your average criminal. His friends, Benny and Kjeld, have learned to trust him more than understand him. Together, this scheming gang perpetrates mesmerizing con games of monetary misdirection. Sometimes he gets caught and does time in prison. His times there are well spent, picking the minds of the few confined, powerful big shots. Yet, with all Olsen's intelligence, he sometimes fails to comprehend the depth of corruption and ruthlessness, to which this world has fallen.
