Watch The Sea Prince and the Fire Child

"The Sea Prince And The Fire Child" is an anime based on a story by Shintaro Tsuji. It is a variation of the Romeo and Juliet story in which the children of the gods of water and fire fall in love. At one point, the god of water had warred against the goddess of fire. Their war became so destructive that a more powerful god had to intervene. The two deities decided to avoid each other in order to maintain peace. Both had children who became the heirs to their respective kingdoms. Those children met and fell in love. Unable to endure being separated, they sought ways to stay together.
