Watch The Whore and the Whale

This film tells the story of a writer who happens to stumble upon several, highly intriguing photographs one afternoon. The photographs appear to show a man and a woman who were deeply in love and showed quite a bit of affection with one another. After research, the writer discovers that the man is a soldier who fought and died in the Spanish Civil War. After discovering the identity of the woman in the photograph, the writer tracks her down and heads to the Argentine Patagonia in search of her. What follows is a remarkable story of a love that was torn apart by the war.
