The German soldiers during WWII were depicted as soulless creatures that felt that they were superior to all other nationalities and religions. Captain Bernhard Rogge was the exception. He was a naval captain famous for not only his skill at sea but also for his humane behavior even in the midst of a long and bloody war. This film follows the story of Rogge and his men on the German naval ship, Atlantis.
