Detective Alice Clark and Detective Jane Wells are two women fighting crime in Los Angeles in the late 1940s. As some of the first female detectives in the LAPD, these women have challenges that go beyond the call of duty. When the body of a young aspiring actor is found mutilated and dumped in the LA River, the two women go on the hunt for the killer.
