Wake the Witch is a gripping psychological/ horror movie that examines a modern-day town’s urban legend. 100 years ago the enraged people of a small town head out to kill a witch who they believe murdered their children. The witch is captured, tied up with chains, and buried. The townspeople assume that the witch's evil will never harm anyone again and the story eventually becomes no more than an urban legend.

After 100 years have passed, three teenage friends, Deb, Karen, and Trixie, meet in the same wooded area to play childhood games and chat like typical teenagers. Once a piece of the chains that were meant to contain the witch’s evil spirit is found nothing in the town remains typical or safe.
