Bellevue is a Canadian television drama series that premiered on WGN America in 2017. The series follows the life of Detective Annie Ryder (Anna Paquin) who is a brilliant cop and single mother who is working on investigating the disappearance of a transgender teen. The series is filled with twists and turns in Annie's own life and the town of Bellevue.

The show is set in Bellevue, a small blue-collar town in Canada. The town has a dark and troubled history, with several unsolved murders and secrets that continue to haunt the town.

Annie Ryder, the lead character, is a police detective who is tasked with investigating the disappearance of a transgender teenager named Jesse Sweetland. As Annie starts her investigation, she quickly realizes that the people in the town are hiding dark and dangerous secrets that could be connected to the disappearance.

As Annie delves deeper into the case, she begins to use unorthodox methods to uncover the truth, including using her psychic abilities to help solve the case. However, Annie's methods and beliefs are controversial and often cause a rift between her and her colleagues, particularly her boss, Chief Peter Welland (Shawn Doyle).

Throughout the series, Annie's personal life becomes intertwined with the investigation, as she begins to uncover secrets about her own past that she never knew existed. As she navigates the investigation and her personal life, Annie finds herself questioning her own sanity and the motives of the people around her.

The supporting cast includes Billy MacLellan as Brady Holt, one of Annie's colleagues on the police force, and Sharon Taylor as Virginia Panamick, a member of the local indigenous community who becomes involved in the investigation.
