Booze Britain was a fly-on-the-wall documentary television series produced by Granada that aired on British satellite TV channel Bravo in half-hour episodes which documented the binge drinking culture of various towns and cities in the United Kingdom. Typically, the series followed a group of friends as they indulge in an evening drinking heavily in various establishments usually in their own town, police officers and also paramedics who are called out to handle the consequences.

Compilation: Some six million people in this country binge drink every week. We've travelled across Britain for three months going out on the town with some of the UK's biggest boozers. We've also been with the emergency services, from the police on the beat, to the paramedics dealing with the messy aftermath of the UK's binge drinking epidemic. Tonight on Booze Britain, in the second of our compilations, we'll be digging out some of the most memorable moments of the series.

Glasgow: For three months, Booze Britain teams travelled the country to find out the truth behind the nation's addiction to alcohol. We travelled to Glasgow to join Suit Paul and friends on a typical night out on the town. Colchester: Booze Britain: Binge Nation has travelled the country to see at first hand the results of the country's love affair with alcohol. Tonight we're in Colchester with Colm and his mates. He's a giant of a man - he's a part time bouncer and full time binge drinker. He's out with five mates to have a pubcrawl before ending up at a nightclub where Hawaiian Night will mean lots of bikini clad women for them to choose from. But before they've even left the first bar, they're one man down.

Birmingham: This EP0of Booze Britain follows a group of gay and straight girls on a night out in Birmingham. Starting the night at home the girls enter Birmingham in the timeless elegance of a white limo. Fuelled by alcohol the girls night proves to be very eventful ending in falling outs and throwing up. On the streets of Birmingham paramedics Emma Delaney and Pete Abrahms are picking up the pieces of boozy nights gone wrong.

Newcastle: Tonight Booze Britain is visiting Newcastle on Tyne - recently voted the eighth best party town in the world! We're out with three canny Geordie lasses who are dressing up as schoolgirls and hitting the town to celebrate Joanne's birthday. Out with her are Claire and Karen - who is better known to the locals as glamour model Jet. And we're on duty with paramedic Justin, who is called to help locals who have been on the wrong end of a golf club, a signet ring and one too many alcopops

Portsmouth: Tonight Booze Britain is visiting Portsmouth. We're out with three local girls who are doing a pub crawl in style, they're travelling in a pink limo. It's champagne all the way to town and shots when they get there. Their drinking habits make them typical of today's heavy drinking youngsters. British teenagers are among the heaviest boozers in Europe and in some parts of the country, girls are outdrinking boys. And we're on duty with Dick and Karen from Hampshire Ambulance service

Derby: Tonight Booze Britain visits Derby, the real ale capital of the country. We're out with a group of drinkers who are swapping a country pub for a night on the lash in town. Among the group are the self styled Lone Rangers who stick together no matter what. Torquay: Tonight we're heading into Torquay with a group of lads who are having a pubcrawl to celebrate Dan's twentieth birthday. There's a lethal looking punch on the menu to get things started and with shots, pints and alcopops, the lads are on a mission to get the birthday boy wasted. Will he still be standing at the end of the night? And we're out with officers from the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary who keep a strong presence in town to deal with alcohol related trouble. Walsall: Tonight, Booze Britain is visiting Walsall in the West Midlands as we continue the tour of our binge nation. We start the night at the headquarters of the Friday Night Club - a university drinking club. We're also on patrol with paramedic Mick Barnes who deals with the casualties of the rise in binge drinking among women as he deals with one call after another to drunk women around the town.
