Most people can learn a lot about things they are unfamiliar with by watching documentaries all day long! DOCday is the title of a television series that actually airs documentaries throughout the day! The very first episode is entitled The Human Behavior Experiments, where 3 well-known but controversial behavioral studies are presented.

Another presentation in this documentary series includes the Original Child Bomb that explores the human cost of the Nagasaki and Hiroshima bombs. Episode 3 is entitled Dropped, and this documentary reveals the grim realism in the music business where signed artists may be dropped by their label without warning.

Filmmaker and music executive Nicole Ehrlich exposes the harsh realities of the music industry by following seven artists who were signed by major labels and subsequently "dropped" unexpectedly. Musicians Hot Karl, Bush Tetras, Wiskey Biscuit, Spearhead, Murphy's Law, OPM and Burning Star tell their stories of living at the mercy of their recording labels, bringing light to just how hard it is to make it in the music biz.

2. Original Child Bomb

Inspired by Thomas Merton's poem, Original Child Bomb shows the human cost of nuclear weapons. The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are depicted through declassified footage, photographs, drawings and testimonies of mothers, brothers and soldiers. Ordinary people gaze upon the nuclear past and its terrifying present. They expose the political rhetoric surrounding "security" and "weapons of mass destruction". The film is a wake-up call and an invitation to action.

Documentarian Alex Gibney (ENRON: The Smartest Guys In the Room) revisits three famous behavioral studies to explore some perennial questions about why human beings commit unethical acts under particular social conditions. Reconsidered are Stanley Milgram' obedience to authority experiments, in which subjects willingly inflicted pain on another person; Philip Zimbardo' alarming prisoner and guard role-playing study; and Columbia University's 1969 experiments which illuminated how being in a group can cause a diffusion of moral responsibility.
