4. Hamburger America
November 16, 2007
There's more to burgers than what's found at emporiums adorned with golden arches or cartoon royalty. On a cross-country cinematic odyssey, filmmaker George Motz documents some bizarre yet popular variations on the classic cheeseburger, including a "Guberburger," in which peanut butter is slathered on ground beef; steamed cheddar cheeseburgers created in a custom boiler; and Memphis's fabled deep-fried burger, perfected in a vat of 90-year-old grease. Warning: viewing on an empty stomach may promote insatiable hunger.

3. Dropped
November 16, 2007
Filmmaker and music executive Nicole Ehrlich exposes the harsh realities of the music industry by following seven artists who were signed by major labels and subsequently "dropped" unexpectedly. Musicians Hot Karl, Bush Tetras, Wiskey Biscuit, Spearhead, Murphy's Law, OPM and Burning Star tell their stories of living at the mercy of their recording labels, bringing light to just how hard it is to make it in the music biz.

2. Original Child Bomb
November 16, 2007
Inspired by Thomas Merton's poem, Original Child Bomb shows the human cost of nuclear weapons. The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are depicted through declassified footage, photographs, drawings and testimonies of mothers, brothers and soldiers. Ordinary people gaze upon the nuclear past and its terrifying present. They expose the political rhetoric surrounding "security" and "weapons of mass destruction". The film is a wake-up call and an invitation to action.

1. The Human Behavior Experiments
November 16, 2007
Documentarian Alex Gibney (ENRON: The Smartest Guys In the Room) revisits three famous behavioral studies to explore some perennial questions about why human beings commit unethical acts under particular social conditions. Reconsidered are Stanley Milgram' obedience to authority experiments, in which subjects willingly inflicted pain on another person; Philip Zimbardo' alarming prisoner and guard role-playing study; and Columbia University's 1969 experiments which illuminated how being in a group can cause a diffusion of moral responsibility.
