Love, Election and Chocolate is a heartwarming romantic comedy that aired on Anime Network in 2012. This anime series follows the story of Oojima Yuuki, a high school student who is part of a small club called the Food Research Club. These students are facing a dilemma as their club is set to be disbanded due to lack of members.

Meanwhile, there is a student council election going on in Yuuki's high school. The election seems to be intense and is considered a big event in the school, as it determines the future of the school's events and policies. Each candidate has their own unique platform with promises that they claim will benefit the school.

As the Food Research Club members discuss their fate and try to come up with ideas on how to save the club, they stumble upon a potential solution - by supporting a candidate for the student council election. However, they soon realize that the candidate they had planned to support dropped out of the running. In their search for a new candidate to support, they come across the opportunity to support a candidate that Yuuki had met before - Shinonome Satsuki.

Shinonome Satsuki is a beautiful and intelligent girl who is running for the student council election as a candidate from the "Anti-School Faction". The group's objective is to discontinue unnecessary school events that negatively impact the school's funds. Yuuki and the rest of the Food Research Club manage to secure a meeting with Shinonome to discuss their proposal. The group suggests that she takes a stance against the current bake sale happening at the school, and instead use the funds for more beneficial activities. Satsuki is impressed by the proposal and decides to take it a step further - to make a chocolate cake for the school
