The Meet Your Makers Showdown is a brand new reality competition series that premiered on the streaming platform Discovery+ in 2021. The show features six of the best skilled crafters in America coming together to compete in a series of exciting challenges. These challenges test their skills and creativity in various mediums, such as metalworking, woodworking, pottery, textiles, glass blowing, and more.

The series is hosted by Chrissy Metz, an American actress best known for her Emmy-nominated role as Kate Pearson in the NBC drama series This Is Us. She brings her charm and charisma to the show as she encourages the contestants to showcase their talents to the best of their ability. Mark Montano, a popular author, artist, and TV personality, serves as the show's judge and mentor. He provides the contestants with valuable feedback to improve their craft and helps them push the boundaries of their creativity.

The six contestants, each with their unique talents and styles, compete for a grand prize of $50,000 and the title of America's Top Crafter. As they face-off in each episode, they not only demonstrate their skills but also their creativity and ingenuity as they try to impress the judges with their work. The challenges range from creating intricate designs out of metal to carving wooden sculptures, making pottery, or even weaving textiles.

In each episode, the contestants must complete two different challenges, showcasing their skills and creativity. The first challenge, the "Maker's Quickie," tests their ability to create something original from a limited supply of materials

3. Stained Glass Battle!

Four of the country's top stained glass artists must create a unique suncatcher made entirely out of scrap pieces. After a tough elimination, the remaining makers are tasked with creating a windowpane that resembles a doorway to another world.

2. Clash of the Candle Makers!

November 27, 2021

Four incredible candle makers compete to make displays inspired by a memorable moment. Then, emotions run high as one maker is eliminated, and the remaining crafters design candle creations that look good enough to eat for the Candle Maker Champion title.
