Dae Gu's book, "The crazy girl with white hair," and Se Do's autobiography were released. Bi Dan and her friends, who are forced to come for Se Do's book signing, get annoyed. Dae Gu asks Do Jin to lend him a tie to go to Mary's house, and Do Jin kindly helps him put it on. Sung Ja welcomes Dae Gu, and Do Chul tells Dae Gu not to get comfortable as he is not his son-in-law yet. Dae Gu asks Mary's parents to marry Mary if his book is successful. Mary is surprised and says she will decide later.

When Dae Gu tells Mary to break up, Mary doesn't take it seriously, saying not to be silly. So Ran is watching them and doesn't know what to do with Mary's reaction. Mary and Dae Gu go to have cold noodles. So Ran comes to them and asks if she can join. Dae Gu is worried that So Ran might talk to Mary. Mary asks Dae Gu not to say to break up with her, even as a joke. After listening to Dae Gu, Do Jin tells him he might be responsible for what is happening, but he can understand the disturbance.

When Heung Bok says he is Dae Gu's father, Dae Gu begins to fight against Heung Bok, and Mary tries to stop Dae Gu. Mary asks Sung Ja if Dae Gu is her half-brother. When Do Chul hears it, he wants to do a paternity test. Mary tells Dae Gu that she heard everything from Heung Bok, and Heung Bok is Dae Gu's father. But Dae Gu gets angry. When Mary receives the invitation to a musical that her friend is the leading role in, she is saddened and decides to try one last time.

Mary happily sweeps the front of the market and remembers kissing Dae Gu. Mary and Dae Gu meet in the park, hold hands, smile, and ride bicycles together. Mary is uncomfortable with Do Jin's phone call and says she has a plan in the evening. Dae Gu also says he has a plan when So Ran calls him. So Ran tells Do Jin to meet Mary more often and gives him a dress for Mary. Dae Gu comes to Mary's house for dinner, and Sung Ja is pleased to see Dae Gu eating well.

When Dae Gu and Do Jin say they both love Mary, Sung Ja says she will select her son-in-law through fair competition. And she asks them to find three things Mary really needs. Dae Gu and Do Jin show what they bring to Mary's parents. Do Jin asks Dae Gu if they have to compete against each other for Mary. So Ran is shocked when Do Jin tells her he is competing with Dae Gu.

Do Jin is surprised by Dae Gu's confession and says he will pretend he didn't hear it. But Dae Gu says again that he likes Mary a lot. Dae Gu asks Mary to say how she feels honestly. Mary hesitates and says it's hard to answer. So Ran and Do Jin are happy with Mary's answer. Do Jin hits Daegu and apologizes to him for knocking him down. Do Jin also tells Dae Gu not to keep what he said earlier in his mind.

On her way home, Mary asks Dae Gu why he is following her. When Dae Gu says his stomach gets upset, Mary tells him he could prick his thumb. So Ran is throwing up, and she is happy when the ring comes out. While Mary is drinking beer at a chicken place, she suddenly falls asleep, and Dae Gu walks, carrying Mary on his back. The following morning, Mary and Dae Gu meet in the park and ask each other how they are doing. They are in a good mood, but So Ran shows up in her workout outfit.

Mary and So Ran, wearing boxing gloves, stare at each other, and they are about to fight. So Ran fights against Mary and falls down, pretending to be weak, when she sees Dae Gu and Do Jin coming. Dae Gu carries the sleeping So Ran to her house and lays her on the bed. As soon as he leaves, So Ran gets up. Do Chul goes through Heung Bok's bag and finds photos of Ricky Park in the past. Do Chul asks Heung Bok if he has come to meet Sung Ja, and Heung Bok tells him he has come to meet his son.

Mary goes to the vet and hears that her dog's condition is better. When Dae Gu does a workout in the park, he tells Mary not to sell her dog. Dae Gu goes to So Ran's house in a clean suit and heads to school with So Ran and Ah Moon. When Dae Gu takes Ah Moon to her school, he encounters Bi Dan. Dae Gu tells Bi Dan not to bully her friend, and she walks away, telling him to see what will come. After reading Dae Gu's book, Se Do sees Dae Gu's potential and asks Dae Gu to write his autobiography.

Do Jin asks Dae Gu if he is dating Mary. He is relieved that Dae Gu showed interest in her because he was worried about being kicked out. Mary goes to give Dae Gu a hot patch. Mary is surprised when she sees So Ran parked her car and reading a book. Dae Gu tells Mary not to come to his place when he is alone, saying Do Jin may get the wrong idea. Mary throws the hot patch and leaves. But she unties all the laces on her sneakers and slowly begins tying them again when So Ran doesn't come out.

After the fashion show, Dae Gu leaves dressed in a suit and walks pleasantly by the gaze of people. When So Ran asks for Dae Gu's contact information, Mary asks why she wants it. So Ran asks Mary if she likes him. Mary denies it and gives Dae Gu's address to So Ran. So Ran plans to go to Dae Gu directly but changes her mind because she needs a good strategy. While working part-time as a backing vocalist, Mary wonders what Dae Gu and So Ran might do when they meet.

Mary pretends she doesn't know Dae Gu, and Dae Gu tries to say about the kiss at the restaurant. Mary, who is embarrassed, rushes Do Jin to go. Dae Gu worries he might be kicked out if Mary and Do Jin are in a relationship, so he starts practicing saying he likes Mary in front of the mirror. After watching the movie, Mary and Do Jin see a car blocking in front of their car. They wait for the owner of the car. When So Ran returns with lots of shopping bags, they scold her.

Surprised by Mary and Dae Gu's ambush kiss, the people at the TMH take pictures. Dae Gu is happy to get his membership fee back. Mary pushes Eun Ja, who wants to get the money instead, and takes the money. The three of them sit in front of the same grill and begin to grill meat. Mary is upset because Dae Gu eats meat so fast. After the meetup, Mary asks Dae Gu if he will go home even though they kissed today and suggests going to a sauna to play a card game betting on 30 dollars each.

Mary, who got a job at Emperor Market, spends her time practicing greetings alone and dozing off. Dae Gu looks at her as pathetic. Daegu only finds things that she doesn't have at the store. Mary tells him to leave immediately before reporting him, but Dae Gu keeps interrupting her work. After So Ran buys clothes at Eun Ja's shop, she continues to go on blind dates. Mary is surprised to learn that Bi Dan, whom she encountered last time, is Hwang Jae's daughter.

Mary beats Dae Gu like crazy, and Dae Gu grabs her arms, claiming that he didn't hear it on purpose. Mary throws a t-shirt she got from her ex-boyfriend into a recycling bin and leaves. Dae Gu looks at the recycling bin after finishing his black bean noodles. Mary lays as if she is dead in her room with a suicide note. She gets up when Sung Ja calls her for dinner. Mary goes to the department store with her coupons to get samples. On her way back home, she encounters Bi Dan and her gang.

In a musical theater filled with excitement, Mary jumped up from her seat and sang loudly. She is dragged out of the theater by the staff. Dae Gu, sitting on the top seat, gives a telescope to his girlfriend, who complains she can't see well. Sung Ja, Mary's mother, gets angry because the 120 dollars she saved disappeared. Then she finds a musical ticket in Mary's pocket when she comes home. Hungry Mary runs away from her mother and sees an advertising poster in front of the convenience store.
