It's the day of the Soorasamharam. Sundar, Malathy and Dhamu grieve as a family. The goons transport the trafficked girls. Sakkarai is still fixated on who could have locked the cupboard. He declares that the person who locked it must be the killer and pulls his gun on his suspect, Moorthy! Moorthy swiftly attacks Sakkarai and escapes. In a flashback to 8 days ago, we see Moorthy enter the cottage through the tunnel to beg Chellappa to stop pursuing the trafficking case.
