The Adventures of Tintin features the escapades of the boy journalist Tintin who is talented at sniffing out a good story. He is also equally adept at attracting trouble. This series was originally created in the 1940s for a comic book series in Europe. The scenes contain elements of slapstick comedy which lend a humorous experience for the viewers. This is a classical adventure story that rolls at a fast pace on the screen. Viewers are kept on the edge of the seat as the protagonist manages to escape from some tight situations where he could easily be harmed or even killed. The boy, his dog and some of the characters they encounter are charming and colorful. They bring back a more nostalgic era of life that is a refreshing change from the super heroes that are currently trending in the media. Tintin is a hero also but he is not one who relies on supernatural powers to win his battles. Tintin is able to find allies and opportunities by using his wit as well as some luck. The viewer never knows what challenge is lurking around the corner while the protagonist tries to solve mysteries that started centuries ago. His curiosity and courage are admirable and remind us that even the average person has it in him or her to live a life of adventure if they want to. This fun, adventure movie incorporates modern animated film technology to deliver a riveting adventure story. Viewers will be amused too by the settings and props that reflect how people lived in the previous century. This alone helps to transport us to a fascinating time in history where sophisticated technology had not yet been invented. The presentation however has been created using top technological know-how so that the viewers can experience the scenes as if they were actually Tintin themselves. The film is suitable for family entertainment so that parents can safely let their children watch the program without worry of exposing them to violent scenes.
