The Ellen Show is a television sitcom that revolves around the life of Ellen Richmond (portrayed by the talented and hilarious comedian Ellen DeGeneres), a Michigan-based novelist who moves to Los Angeles to reconnect with her childhood friend Rusty, played by Martin Mull. The show premiered on September 24, 2001, and ran for one season, ending on July 22, 2002.
