The Innocents is a British television series from Netflix that premiered in August 2018. The show follows two teenagers June and Harry who decide to run away from their overprotective families in order to finally be together. They soon discover that June has a special ability which makes their escape less simple than expected. Her ability is shapeshifting, causing her body to transform whenever she feels strong emotions. This fascinating ability quickly puts the two teens in grave danger as they become entangled in a web of secrecy, secrecy that has been kept for centuries.

June and Harry find their way to a remote town in Norway where they encounter some suspicious and seemingly dangerous characters. Their presence in the town is soon noticed by the locals, with some trying to help them while others are eager to harm them. It becomes clear that June's shapeshifting ability has made her a prime target for a group of government scientists who want to use her as a lab rat, thus making the couple's escape from the town and danger all the more difficult.

As the story progresses, we discover more about June's ability and the people who are after her. We also see more of her relationship with Harry and how it changes over time as they adapt to their new circumstances. The Innocents is a story of love, family, and survival, set against a backdrop of danger and mystery.
