Ultraman Ginga is a Japanese tokusatsu television series that aired from July 2013 to December 2013. The show was produced by Tsuburaya Productions and was the 25th installment in the Ultra Series. The series starred Takuya Negishi as Hikaru Raido, an Earthling who transforms into the titular Ultraman Ginga to protect the planet from evil aliens and monsters.
The show follows the basic formula of previous Ultra Series shows, with Hikaru Raido stumbling upon a mysterious device known as the Ginga Spark. The Ginga Spark, which resembles a flashlight, allows Hikaru to transform into Ultraman Ginga, a silver and red armored hero with the ability to fly and shoot energy beams from his hands. As Ultraman Ginga, Hikaru must battle various monsters and aliens who threaten the Earth's safety.
One of the unique aspects of Ultraman Ginga is the show's use of Spark Dolls. Spark Dolls are small figurines of past Ultra Series monsters and heroes that have become popular collectibles among children in the show's universe. In the series, the villains seek to collect these dolls in order to gain power and revive their own monstrous allies. Hikaru, as Ultraman Ginga, must also collect the dolls and use them to power up and gain new abilities.
The show's ensemble cast also includes Mio Miyatake as Misuzu Isurugi, Hikaru's childhood friend who works at a cosplay caf
Ultraman Ginga is a series that ran for 2 seasons (41 episodes) between July 8, 2017 and on Toku
