It's a non-reality television series that appeals mostly to those around the college student age group, considering the main characters of the show are of this age group. It's been described as a combination of comedic gags and blunt realism. There are ten episodes that have aired so far, ranging from its first debut date of October 16th, 2012, to the more recent date of December 12th, 2012. The first episode was the original series' pilot episode. Each episode is represented as a number out of 100. For example, the first episode is represented as being Episode 101, then Episode 102, and so on and so forth. Underemployed is directed by Troy Miller and was written by Craig Wright.
The very first episode of Underemployed starts out with the group of friends Daphne, Miles, Lou, Raviva, and Sophia, all leaving college with high hopes for their futures and some personal dreams and ambitions that they hope to achieve. Unfortunately, things don't always go according to plan and these five friend's lives are no different. Raviva returns one day to Lou (her boyfriend) unexpectedly pregnant, Miles is presented a chance to meet the actual Calvin Klein, and Daphne gets a little too close to her boss at the workplace.
The series progresses with many unsuspecting moments and important life choices for the five main protagonists. Raviva fights with Lou on the birthing details of her expected child, Rosemary. Daphne has an on again and off again torrid affair with her boss Todd, further tempting the fate of her career. Sophia ends up arrested at one point and it all has to do with her own little romantic escapades. There are many plot twists to come and quite a few love triangles that eventually form, throughout the unfinished MTV series.
Underemployed is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (12 episodes). The series first aired on October 16, 2012.
